An immersive site for "La Casa de Papel" fans
In 2022, with the end of the series "La Casa de papel", Netflix created an interactive microsite called "La Casa de Papel" to honor fans of the series and allow the fanbase to continue living their passion for the series. This platform has gathered fans from all over the world, reflecting the spirit of resistance of the series.
Series fans at the heart of the project
Initially, fans were invited to share their support messages to unlock an exclusive preview of the latest episodes of "La Casa de Papel".
Our team then developed a new part of the experience where users could discover an interactive 3D globe filled with messages, videos, easter eggs and quotes from the series. Our team developed this globe in WebGL and fed it with a three.js library.
A place for sharing and exchange
Fans were able to share their messages by indicating their location via the Google Places API. The microsite was localized in 10 languages for global reach and the map was updated with fan posts after launch.
Every aspect of this experience was a declaration of love for the show. With thousands of fans posting their messages during the first week of the launch, the digital hub has become an inspiring place for users to say goodbye to the show and its actors while discovering other fans from around the world.
This experience has been a huge boost to the passion of the fans as we approach the final season.
